A psychedelic inspired Suminagashi play session in collaboration with @thamas_onink ~ an immersive workshop dropping ink and playing with pattern, rhythm and deep flow state.

A talk on the Neuroscience of Play with Sophie, the neurochemistry, the power of water in play and the impact of sonic play and sound healing. Hear from artist @thamas_onink on how he approaches play, his inspirations and what he does to tap into Play Energy. Tom will guide you through experimenting with Suminagashi (floating ink), the Japanese art of dropping ink onto water and lifting, traditionally with rice paper.

@thamas_onink and I first met during Tom’s exhibition and sonic installation of Suminagashi at @pinkpaintvintage in 2024. Mesmerised by his practice and the fusion of his creativity and music, I love Tom’s playful exploration of dropping ink. I’m so excited to be working together to bring you this play session and know you will love it.
