Drumming Circle - Rhythm & Roots

Samantha Melvin is a women’s empowerment advocate dedicated to creating spaces that guide women back into their true power, inner wisdom, and self-nourishment. Her work is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and community, offering women the tools and support to reconnect with themselves, find their voice, and embrace their wholeness. Through gatherings, workshops, and conversations, Samantha helps women to step into their strength while feeling held, seen, and supported.

Join us for the next Drumming Circle – Rhythm &amp; Roots, our monthly community gathering rooted in rhythm, presence, and connection. This circle is a trauma-informed, inclusive space&nbsp;where the drum is not about performance, but about grounding, release, and shared human rhythm. It’s a place to shake off the day, return to the body, and experience the power of being together in sound and silence. No drumming experience is needed, and you don’t need to bring a drum, plenty will be available on the night. You are also welcome to bring your own if you have one. 
The SpaceThe hall is held as an intentional space, with a central altar and an electric candle “campfire,” creating a warm, grounded atmosphere, a modern hearth for gathering in circle. The structure of the evening is gentle yet clear, supporting safety, ease, and nervous-system settling. 
The Flow of the EveningThe circle unfolds over two hours, allowing space for rhythm, reflection, and rest:<ul><li>Arrival, settling, and a shared breath with the drum</li><li>Welcoming in the elements -</li><li>Shamanic drumming journey, led by Emma Harrison Clay, allowing rhythm to build naturally and meet the group where they are</li><li>Talking stick circle: space for introductions, confidentiality, and sharing how each person is arriving</li><li>Optional cacao, grounding, and heart-opening</li><li>Gentle grounding and settling pause, held by Samantha Nobeebaccus, offering space to breathe, notice, and integrate</li><li>Closing talking stick: one word to reflect how you feel now</li><li>Thanking and closing down the elements</li><li>Closing circle</li></ul>Participation is always invitational - drum, rest, listen, or step back as needed. Your pace, your body, and your boundaries are respected. 
Who This Circle Is ForOpen to all adults, held in a trauma-informed space. This is a safe space for everyone to arrive exactly as they are. 
About the FacilitatorsSamantha Nobeebaccus is the Director of Moksha Holistic Therapies CIC&nbsp;and the heart behind many of the community spaces it holds. Her work centres around creating safe, grounded, and compassionate environments&nbsp;where people feel able to arrive exactly as they are. Drawing from lived experience, trauma-informed practice, and a deep belief in the power of authentic human connection, Samantha holds spaces that prioritise nervous system safety, inclusivity, and genuine presence. Her approach is intuitive and relational rather than prescriptive, allowing each person to move at their own pace and honour their own needs.Within the drumming circle, Samantha helps to hold the container of the space — guiding moments of grounding, reflection, and integration so that the rhythm of the drum is balanced with moments of stillness, breath, and awareness.Emma Clay Harrison is a shamanic drummer and therapist&nbsp;whose relationship with the drum is both deeply personal and rooted in years of experience working with rhythm as a tool for healing and connection. She approaches the drum not as an instrument of performance, but as a living rhythm that supports regulation, expression, and reconnection with the body. Through steady, intuitive drumming, Emma gently guides the group into a shared rhythm that allows each participant to find their own natural pace within the circle.Emma holds the drumming journey with sensitivity, care, and deep listening, allowing the energy of the group to shape the flow of the rhythm while maintaining a safe and supportive structure. Her work invites people to explore the drum as a way to release, ground, and reconnect with something ancient and instinctive within themselves.Together, they hold the circle with rhythm, care, and integrity.<h3> </h3>
