Drunken Baker Rehearsed Reading
Event Information
Description
Drunken Baker
Characters born into the celebrated Viz comic strip Drunken Bakers and then immortalised in Barney Farmer's novel Drunken Baker stagger on to the stage for the first time. Here's a day in the alcohol-dominated existence of two nameless bakers attempting to run a small bakery. With the strip and novel already compared to the work of Samuel Beckett, this adaptation will resonate with anyone that fears that the good times might be over, loathes the death of the high street and ponders the futility of existence. Includes sweet fruit and cake, charred crust and burnt nuts.
