A 2-day dry stone walling course to learn Devon Ditching - building a traditional vertically pitched, stone faced earth bank
Join us on a unique two day dry stone walling course for the opportunity to learn Devon Ditching - building a traditional stone faced earth bank using the ‘pitched up’ (vertical) building technique.
The structure will use Devon quarried Quartzitic Sandstone (Hearson Quarry) and will be a permanent structure at Westpoint Exeter Arena, home to the Devon County Show.
The course is being run by the Devon branch of the Dry Stone Walling Association, instructed by fully qualified professional Devon dry stone wallers.
