DYCP Deep Dive: WORKSHOP

A small group, in person workshop offering you TAILORED SUPPORT

Led by Artist and DYCP recipent (2024-2025) Fran Arnold at DRAW Studio, Stocksfield

Expect a workshop full of DOING STUFF! to help you take your draft application to final bid in time for submission to Round 24 (opens 2 June, closees 2 July)

Up to 6 people in the group giving you quality time and support in a calm environment

Tea, coffee and busicuits available throughout!

Pens & paper available to jot your thoughts & plans down on.

Please feel free to bring your own lunch or visit Wheelbirks Parlour for sit in/take away.

AGENDA

8.45am Arrivals

9am Welcome & Introductions with creative, DYCP related warm up

9.15 - 10.15am Why This, Why Now? Your 2030 Vision. Language and Purpose. Practical activities to help you refine and clarify your application

10.15am break

10.30am - 12.30pm Organising your thoughts into 1) phases/timeline 2) costs/budget 3) set against DYCP criteria to give you the best chance of success

12.30pm Lunch

1-4.30pm 30 minute one to ones, plus free use of the studio to continue your application in a quiet, focused environment. If you need to leave before 4.30pm, we'll schedule your one to one for early afternoon.

VENUE & FACILITIES

DRAW Studio is run by Jenny Purrett and is a fully equiped drawing studio with small kitchen. We'll have solo access to the studio for the whole day. It's full of natural light, comfy seats and fully accessible. Id' pop the wood burning stove on for atmosphere but it's summer! Expect to hear the swallows outside instead

Wifi is possible but please do bring a way to work offline too. Pens & paper will be provided for you. There's lots of large tables so we can work as a group and find solo time too.

Toilets are available in Wheelbirks Parlour.

Free parking is right outside DRAW Studio, next to the Parlour entrance.

WHO'S IT FOR?

To get the most out of our time together, you will have:

• started your DYCP application
• read ACE Gudiance (or joined a general advice webinar like A-N's)
• drafted your application at least once
• unanswered questions

You'll supported to take your DYCP application TO THE NEXT LEVEL!

I'll support you to:

• refine yur plasn (and meet the word count!)
• clarify your ideas (aligned with DYCP criteria to maximise success)
• finalise your application(ready for Round 24)

This is an in person workshop in Northumberland. Most suitable for North East creatives given the location off the A68/A69
