Jamyang London Buddhist Centreprovides a place for the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism in the Mahayana tradition following the lineage ofHH the Dalai Lama. We’re part of theFoundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition(FPMT). We host teachings by eminent Buddhists, offer courses and classes for getting started and going further. We provide space for individual and group meditation. Here you will find the authentic teachings of the Buddha and a community supporting spiritual growth and practice.

About this session 'What Near Death Experiences (NDE's) help teach us about Death and Dying'.An exploration, using You Tube clips, of people's descriptions of their NDE's, followed by a discussion about relevant aspects in relation to our approach to our own death.What can I expect?This a face to face secular event covering a wide range of aspects related to death and dying.It is open to anyone interested in exploring more about what a good death might be and what preparations might be helpful to have a good death and to live life more fully. Sessions are 2 hours and will mostly be in a facilitated sharing format using a range of teaching media, aiming to open up discussion around death and dyingLight refreshments providedFacilitatorsDiana Opio, as a trained nurse has been working in palliative care for several decades.  She has also helped set up and run palliative care academic programmes in East Africa. More recently she has become increasingly interested in aspects of spirituality at the end of life and has trained as a soul midwife and has run many death cafes.Robin Bath a trustee and community member of Jamyang London Buddhist Centre since its debut. Over the years, he supported the centre in infinite ways, as an artist, poet, and photographer. He is also the organiser of the ‘Jamyang Walks’, the ‘Dying Well’ meetings, and volunteers for the ‘Repaying the Kindness, Carers Group’. He recently published ‘Climate Change Children Voices‘.
