#EarBox: Flute Choir

Studio 3 Gallery is thrilled to welcome back the University of Kent's Music Department for the next installment of our collaboration, #EarBox. In the second concert, the Flute Choir performs a programme including works by Bach, Handel, Charpentier, Tchaikovsky and more.

Audiences will be able to also visit our current exhibition, After the Break: Grete Marks and Laure Prouvost. This exhibition examines the artistic practices of two German artists who were declared degenerate by the Nazis, and forced to leave Germany and come to England. Grete Marks was a Bauhaus-trained ceramicist, and the gallery is please to show both her pottery and examples of her extensive drawing and painting practice. Alongside this work we are showing contemporary artist Laure Prouvost's video Wantee (2013), a fictionalised tale of avant-garde artist Kurt Schwitters' final years in the Lake District.
