Early Spring walk

Early Spring walk

Overview

Ham Lands are rapidly coming to life Join us on a walk to find out more about this special part of Ham and enjoy its magic.

Ham Lands are rapidly coming to life after our exceptionally wet winter. Join us on a walk to find out more about this special part of Ham and enjoy its magic. We will discover what is in flower and what leaves are unfurling. Due to climate change much will be earlier than expected. Our various conservation interventions to combat invasive plants will be explained. There will also be an opportunity to find out about insect monitoring on Ham Lands. This includes the fascinating Brown Hairstreak butterfly egg project and the forthcoming BIOSCAN initiative to increase our knowledge about insect diversity on the Lands.
