Termly network for safeguarding leads across all early years providers in Shropshire.
Safeguarding networks will:
· Provide an opportunity for focused discussion/updates on particular topics relevant to safeguarding children in early years. These updates will be relevant to key national and local priorities relevant to safeguarding children and may include guest speakers.
· Provide a supportive forum for Safeguarding Leads across Shropshire to discuss and share their practice experiences with one another in order to enable them to reflect on and enhance their safeguarding practice.
· Enable Local Authority Safeguarding Officers to engage and listen to early years providers; so that any key themes that highlight strengths or challenges in safeguarding practice for early years providers and their role in the multi-agency approach to safeguarding children in Shropshire can be fed back to the Local Authority and Shropshire Safeguarding Community Partnership.
