The Link website is funded by theChildren Learning and Skills Directoratein Slough Borough Council. It is aimed at current and future education professionals in Slough, particularly teachers and early years practitioners.We have a strong and vibrant education system in Slough characterised by good educational outcomes for children and a growing spirit of collegiality andpartnership workingacross schools and between schools and the LA.We hope that the Link will become a powerful tool to strengthen the education system in Slough by supporting the communication of education priorities and facilitating collaboration across schools and settings.  Please visit our website for further information.

As with other forms of safeguarding strategies, early intervention is always preferable. Slough Borough Council is working with other local partners, families and communities, to play a key role in ensuring young people and their communities are safe from the threat of terrorism.Aims of this session- Understand Prevent’s aims- Think about who may be vulnerable to Extremism and Radicalisation – all forms- See why some people are able to influence and manipulate others to commit crimes- Recognise when a vulnerable individual may be in need of help- And be clear on what help and support looks like in this area, and who you should turn to if you have concerns   - Look at the threats, risks and vulnerabilitiesBookings are limited to 3 bookings per settingBookings are free but any cancellations must be made 7 days prior to the event. Any bookings cancelled within these 7 days will be subject to a £15.00 cancellation fee. Non attendance will also be subject to a £15.00 charge.The last date to register for this training is Tuesday 16th February 2021.
