Earth Wind Fire is a dance drama and MED Theatre’s relaunch into the world of live performance.Funded by Arts Council England and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), this production will be devised by two young artists – Willa Faulkner as choreographer and Jonny Hibbs as composer, with support from the MED Theatre team.The major carbon cycle is slow, it is constantly happening in the background on a timescale of millions of years through volcanic eruptions putting CO2 into the atmosphere to keep the planet warm and increased rainfall when the planet warms up to remove the CO2 into the oceans where it is subducted under the tectonic plates back into the volcanoes. Humans, however, have no tangible experience of it. Human reaction is often quick, done without much thought, often upsetting the balance of things. The carbon cycle centralises this idea of balance.Join us for this beautiful event in the magical Bridford Woodland Trust outdoor amphitheatre.
