<h2>Let your kids run wild this Half-term!</h2><p>We&#x27;ve been working hard to ensure that all of our events are Covid-compliant so that you can rest at ease that we&#x27;ll have all the measures in place to ensure that your children have loads of fun whilst minimising any risk from Covid-19.</p><h3>What&#x27;s in store...</h3><p>Two days of fun in the forest for 5-8 year olds* on Monday 26th &amp; Tuesday 27th October (10am-3pm each day) in a private woodland and meadow in Chew Stoke.</p><p>Over the two days children will have the opportunity to safely use a range of hand-tools for green-wood working, crafting something to take home; cook snacks over the fire; use a fire-striker to light a fire, play woodland games, get physical on the rope swings, rope ladders, scramble net; get messy in the mud kitchen and explore!</p><p><em><strong>It&#x27;s the perfect antidote the the school classroom!</strong></em></p><p>As Forest School leaders, we ensure the days are as child-led as possible -  encouraging the children to explore, play, make and learn, with whatever sparks their interest, both independently and together as a group.</p><p></p><h3>Covid Compliance</h3><p>An outline of the government guidelines that we are adhering to and the measures we are taking is available on request and will be shared with all parents booked. Parents  will be asked to complete a declaration form prior to the event.</p><p></p><h3>Parent feedback:</h3><p>&quot;A huge thank you to you and your team for the past couple of days. Alfie had an absolutely wonderful time, he thoroughly enjoyed it in spite of the weather and came home full of stories about all of the things he&#x27;d got up to (the spear making today was a particular highlight!). </p><p>Alfie isn&#x27;t always super confident in extra curricular activities and groups but he always has the absolute best times taking part in your events and to anyone who asks I really can&#x27;t recommend you highly enough!&quot;</p><p>Feb 2020 (name changed for anonymity)</p><p></p><h3>Age-range and group size</h3><p>This event is for children aged 5-8 years. We always work with a maximum of 12 children and a small age-range to ensure that activities are made hands-on and achievable for the whole group. </p><p></p><h3>Our Forest School Leader and assistant</h3><p>Our Forest Fun days are run by Claire Rosling and an experienced assistant and  volunteer. Claire is also first aid trained and food safety certified and is DBS checked. All leaders, assistants and volunteer helpers present on the day are DBS checked. If you have any queries about the day then please contact Claire@getearthwise.co.uk.</p><p> </p><h3>Location</h3><p>Our Forest Fun days will be held in a private woodland in Chew Stoke, approximately 8 miles south of Bristol city centre. Please use the code <strong>Sibling</strong></p></li></ul><h2></h2><h2>FAQ</h2><p><strong>Do I drop children off or do parents stay?</strong>   </p><p>Parents drop children off for both days. Timings of both days are 10am-3pm each day.</p><p><strong>Are 1 day tickets available?</strong></p><p>To ensure covid-compliance we are only able to have teh same group of children for both days. We also design our Forest Fun experiences as two day events so that the group are able to bond with each other, with us as facilitators and with the woodland around them. There is a profound difference in the way the group approach each other and the environment when they attend for two consecutive days - we see the value in this and so make two day bookings a priority.</p><p><strong>Do you have toilets?</strong></p><p>We&#x27;ll be out in the wild woods without any permanent toilet facilities and so will be providing a temporary, private (and hygienic) latrine that we will show children how to use. A great skill to learn for wild camping! Hand washing facilities are provided. </p><p>------- </p><h3>Cancellation policy</h3><p>If for whatever reason you need to cancel your booking, we offer a refund up to one week prior to the event date. NB. The eventbrite fee is non-refundable.</p><p>If government guidlines change and we are no longer able to go ahead with the event we will offer a  refund. </p><p>Dangerous weather including high winds, electrical storms and ice may force us to cancel the event at short notice. In this case and other &#x27;Acts of God&#x27; and &#x27;Force Majeure&#x27; we are unable to issue refunds (after 1 week prior to the event) however we can give you a credit towards booking another event with us in the future. If we need to cancel for any other reason we will issue you a refund.</p>
