Progress towards independent pedalling or improve your cycling.
Our private classes are for all children aged 4+ who would like to ride their bikes independently. We know not every child will flourish in a group setting, so these private sessions are ideal if your child would benefit from 1:1 tuition or less distractions.
Our Easter lessons are held in the MUGA at Beechwood Park, Stirling. After school lessons are held at Recyke-a-bike.
We recommend booking two lessons to start off with on different days.
Our sessions will cover:
Fitting helmets
Getting on and off the bike (and putting it down safely)
Balance
Control (steering)
Braking
Pedals
Generally we will have the first few sessions with the pedals removed from your child's bike. This allows them to have the seat a little lower and get their feet onto the ground for reassurance, and in turn builds confidence.
Each child is different and we will tailor the sessions to individual needs as much as possible.
Please let us know if you need to borrow a bike/helmet.
