At this hands-on Easter baking session where you’ll learn to create beautiful homemade treats to share with friends and family

This relaxed, welcoming class is perfect for anyone who loves baking, whether you’re a total beginner or looking to build your skills.

Together, we’ll make two classic Easter bakes:

  • A Simnel cupcake with decoration
  • A traditional spiced Hot Cross Bun (with an optional chocolate orange twist).

You’ll leave with showstopping bakes and the confidence to recreate them at home.

What you’ll learn

- How to mix, knead, and prove enriched dough
- Techniques for flavouring, shaping, and finishing festive bakes
- Decorating skills for eye-catching Easter treats
- Tips for baking with seasonal spices and citrus

- All ingredients and equipment
- Complimentary tea throughout the class
- Recipe pack sent after the class

To help us reduce waste, please bring your own containers to carry your bakes home.

About your teacher
Michelle brings over 10 years’ experience running a successful cake business, baking for everything from weddings to festivals. She now shares her expertise teaching at School of Food, where she’s known for her warm, supportive approach and creative flair.
Location. This will take place in our award-winning kitchen and thriving garden in Hackney.

Attendance
This class is suitable for all abilities and is designed for anyone aged 12 and up. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
