Hop on over for a fun-filled session at Pet's Corner in Jesmond Dene this Easter Weekend.

Have a mini adventure at Pet's Corner and get to meet an adorable Pet's Corner furry friend, have fun with seasonal craft activities, and follow the Easter Egg Trail through Pet's Corner for an egg-cellent reward!

Each 1 hour session includes:

• Spending time with a Pet's Corner furry friend. This will either be a rabbit, guinea pig, chick or goat^.

• Get creative with our Seasonal Craft Activities including creating a wildflower bomb, a natural bird feeder, a Spring or Easter card, colour wooden spring decorations, and colouring in and word search sheets

• Having egg-cellent fun in Pet's Corner on our self-led Easter Egg Trail which includes a small Easter Egg reward

Spaces are limited and cost £5 per child (plus booking fee) so hop along and book a slot today !

Available session dates and times

Sessions will be held on Saturday 4th April and Sunday 5th April 2025 at the following times:

• 10:30am - 11:30am

• 11:30am - 12:30pm

• 1pm - 2pm

• 2pm - 3pm

Additional information

• Each session will last approx. 1 hour

• Suitable for children aged 5yr - 12yrs old

• Price per child is £5 (plus booking fee)

• There is limited availability for each session and booking in advance is necessary

• Each session will take place inside and outside so please dress appropriately

• Each child must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times

• Please make us aware of any allergies or food intolerances

^The Time with a Pet's Corner Furry Friend will be inside or outside, so please dress appropriately for the weather. This will be with either a rabbit, guinea pig, chick or goat. We can’t guarantee which animal you'll be able to meet as it will depend on how each animal is after its daily furry friend check-up.

The Seasonal Craft Activities will take place inside our Jesmond Dene classroom (next to the cafe in Jesmond Dene and opposite Pet's Corner). Please be aware this may get messy and although we'll provide aprons for the children, please dress in clothes that you don't mind getting messy. Making the bird feeder involves using animal fat or similar product.

The Easter Egg Trail is self-led around Pet's Corner and includes a trail sheet and a small Easter Egg. This will take place outside, so please dress for the weather. Our friendly pets corner keepers and volunteers will be on hand to give you guidance at the start then once you've completed the trail with your grown up, make your way back to the Jesmond Dene class to get your reward!

The session take place at Pet's Corner in Jesmond Dene. Each session starts at the Jesmond Dene (Ouseburn Park) Visitor Centre. The Jesmond Dene (Ouseburn Park) Visitor Centre is next door to the cafe / toilets in the park which is just opposite Pet's Corner.
