STEM Bytes is a fun, hands-on technology experience at The National Museum of Computing. Visitors can explore interactive STEM activities at their own pace, with facilitators on hand to guide and challenge them.

What are the timings for the day?

The day is broken down into 2 sessions, allowing you plenty of time to explore the rest of the Museum in between. Session 1 is 11:00 - 13:00. Session 2 is 14:00 - 16:00. The Museum itself is open between 10:30 and 16:30.

What age do I have to be?

STEM Bytes is designed for children, families, and curious learners of all ages! However, the VR experience is restricted to ages 12+ for safety reasons. Please note under 16s MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

What does my ticket give me access to?

Your ticket lets you attend any of the workshops happening on that day, plus full access to the rest of the Museum.

How long can we take part in the activities?

You can stay as long as you like within museum opening hours. All activities are designed for self-directed engagement with different levels of difficulty.
