Leading to more meaningful and enjoyable mealtimes  and ultimately happier and healthier children.Nourishing Families is a community interest company (CIC), a social enterprise that puts purpose before profit. Places on our courses may be fully funded or offered at reasonable rates. We never want cost to be a barrier to attending so please get in touch if we can help. Nourishing Families CIC

Eat Talk Thrive is a course for parents that explores the what, when, where and how of eating well as a family. FREE TQ residents only.

<ul><li>Are you a parent or carer of a child aged 1-12? </li><li>Are you dealing with fussy or picky eating?</li><li>Do some mealtimes end up being stressful?</li><li>Maybe things have got worse during Covid?</li><li>Or perhaps you&#x27;re just interested in learning more about healthy food habits at home?</li></ul>If any of these apply, join is for this 6 week course that explores everything about food, family, health and wellbeing.Nourishing Families has been awarded funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to run our 6-week course free for parents/carers based in Torbay and the surrounding TQ postcode areas. The course will be run online via zoom. Each week we will be exploring different themes: <ul><li>Week 1 - WHEN, timings of meals, grazing and snacking </li><li>Week 2 - WHERE and HOW we eat, does it make a difference? </li><li>Week 3 - The role we PARENTS play</li><li>Week 4 - WHAT is a balanced diet really?</li><li>Week 5 - FUSSY eating and other CHALLENGES: what can we do?</li><li>Week 6 - 1-1 slots also available. </li></ul>These small, friendly sessions will contain a mixture of group chats, quizzes, food tastings and breaks for tea/coffee. As this is a funded course, pre- and post-questionnaires will need to be completed by all participants. “I was expecting something about food ideas and recipes, but this was so much better! ...it’s helped in ways I didn’t realise we needed”.
