Get ready to crack the code of heart rhythms and boost your ECG skills in a fun, hands-on session!
ECG interpretation for all
This course is designed for individuals involved in monitoring and recording ECG traces.
The course will focus on conduction systems and its defects in relation to ECG interpretation including:
- Origin of rhythms
- Artificial Cardiac Pacing - Coronary artery
- Non-ischaemic chest pain
- Ventricular-excitation
- Abnormal metabolic and electrolyte
This course is intended for all staff who need to provide a quick and accurate analysis of presenting ECG.

Agenda

ECG intereptation
Day 1: Foundations & Rhythm Recognition Focuses on the "why" and "how" of recording, plus identifying the heart's basic electrical rhythms. • Anatomy & Physiology: Review of cardiac anatomy and the heart's electrical conduction system. • Technical Skills: Proper electrode placement for a 12-lead ECG, skin preparation, and troubleshooting artifacts like muscle tremors. • The Normal ECG: Defining the normal sinus rhythm and understanding standard measurements for P-waves, PR intervals, and QRS complexes. • Rate Calculation: Using methods like the 300 rule or the 6-second method for irregular rhythms.
