Take inspiration from the flora and fauna in Victoria Park to create unique eco accessories!

Eco Accessories A Young People&#x27;s event led by maker &amp; arts educator Gemma Gottelier. Anyone aged 10+ is welcomeCreate mini, plant-inspired paintings on delicate wooden shapes &amp; turn your artworks into jewellery, a key ring, bag tag or perhaps a bookmark for your favourite book.....or you may have your own creative idea for your miniature botanical painting...? (Weather-permitting) we&#x27;ll forage in the park for inspiration, explore plants &amp; their importance for sustainability, design our accessories &amp; use fine brushes &amp; pens to create them. Wear or use your hand-painted object with pride! Please bring an apron or wear clothing you&#x27;re not concerned about for the making activity (the paint won&#x27;t wash out of clothing!) and suitable footwear &amp; clothing for foraging in the park &amp; in case of bad weather!<ul><li>Age: 10+</li><li>Parents to accompany children under 11, for 11+ please drop off or stay as works for you &amp; your child *</li><li>Meeting Place: The Hub, Victoria Park, Ashford (follow the path from the fountain up through the park &amp; look for a small colouful container building)</li><li>Tickets: ﻿£3 </li><li>Please dress suitably for the outdoors! </li></ul>*﻿ you will be asked to fill in a short Permissions/Emergency Contact form at checkoutPlease note, there are no public toilets available in the park at the moment so please plan before you get to the session. Workshop leaders will not be able to accompany attendees on a toilet break, which would only be allowed with prior parental permission. Any queries, please email info@outdoorstudiosarts.comThis event is funded by the Kent Community Foundation Frank Brake Community Fund and the Victoria Park Project.About Gemma Gottelier: Gemma is passionate about working in and taking inspiration from the natural environment. &quot; In a world dominated by technology, it&#x27;s a rare and valuable opportunity to share the experience of being creative in nature, bringing people together in a magical way.&quot; With a background in Fine Art, having developed her skills to embrace more craft-based mediums, Gemma enjoys working with a range of techniques, including drawing, printing, painting, collage, model-making, ceramics and appliqué. In her career to date, Gemma has devised and delivered creative workshops and projects – as well as coordinating them – for a wide range of audiences, gaining a grounding in Museum and Gallery Learning – often working in their outside spaces. Gemma has regularly led sessions with children from Early Years upwards, schools, families, Young People, Older People, Vulnerable Adults, people with Dementia and Alzheimer&#x27;s, stroke victims and community, Special Educational Needs, ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Blind and Partially Sighted groups.
