MA Situated Practice is a platform for developing creative projects that are situated physically and engage with contemporary social, cultural, economic, environmental and political conditions. This practice-led transdisciplinary course questions the role of the public practitioner and explores a critical spatial practice across art, architecture, performance, writing and urbanism.Situated Practice: Live presents a sequence of moments through which practitioners share their work with the public. Visitors are invited to participate in immersive performances, attend screenings, hear readings, share stories and contribute to workshops and discussions. The series of events are free to attend and open to all.

Join us for an audio-based exploration into Scottish cultural identity. 

Through the format of an epic style poem, the artist is seeking to confront the intricate effects of the Highland Clearances on current landownership in Scotland and the use of Gaelic as an existing language.Rachael Docherty is an artist and writer based in Glasgow and London. She is a graduate from Sculpture and Environmental Art at The Glasgow School of Art and is now studying an MA in Situated Practice at The Bartlett, UCL. Her work looks at language, identity, and the things that are lost within translation. NoteTo attend this event an eventbrite ticket is essential.
