On Saturday 21st March, we gather for a Ecstatic Dance SPRING EQUINOX CELEBRATION with special setting. Door open at 6:45 pm and we start at 7 pm till 10:00pm GMT.

Ecstatic Dance Bournemouth is a safe and inclusive space where all are welcome to bring their authentic selves as we journey together through sound and movement.No dance skill or experience is necessary! Movement may include walking, rolling, stretching, raging, shaking or anything you feel inspired to embody.

Each event will feature an amazing Ecstatic Dance live DJ set followed by a beautiful sound journey.

Some guidance & facilitation will be provided. And then we will let the music, the community and our own inner space direct our steps, our movements, our expression, our journey.

Relaxation: Ecstatic Dance usually ends with a deep relaxation.

Ecstatic Dance is a Freeform Conscious Dance practice. As soon as you enter the space, you are invited to let go of judgements and expectations and allow yourself to feel your emotions, sensations, body, mind, and spirit. Immerse yourself in a vibrant atmosphere filled with like-minded individuals who share the love for movement and freedom. Whether you're an experienced dancer or a beginner, this event welcomes everyone with open arms.

Our Ecstatic Dance sessions have guidelines of: No booze, No Shoes, No phones, No Chit Chat, Move However You Wish, Respect yourself and others.

Some guidance & facilitation will be provided. And then we will let the music, the community and our own inner space direct our steps, our movements, our expression, our journey. Relaxation: Ecstatic Dance usually ends with a deep relaxation.

***Alcohol, drug, psychedelic & smoke free space!!! We get a natural high through dance!***

Optional extras you may bring:

For your comfort you can bring BackJack - Cussion - Blanket for Kiertan

Bring a set of dry clothes/small towel as you will probably get sweaty during the session. Toilets are available at the venue but there are no separate changing rooms.

We dance barefoot, in soft indoor shoes or grip socks.

We will be sat on a wood flooring for a short time for the meditation so please feel free to bring a blanket/ yoga mat.

Reusable water bottle.Tap water refil available at the venue.

Oulani’s journey into Bhakti Yoga started some years back after a major life change.This life change led Oulani to self enquiry and to a deep longing for connection to the divine.Her journey began with her training in Reiki to master level, and then to Yoga teacher training, which led her to the Bhakti Yoga practice.The Path of devotion.

Oulani was lit up by kirtan and felt led to practice Kirtan in her life.

Raven and Oulani have been walking a journey together, as husband and wife, for 20yrs and Raven has been drawn to the drum as part of that path.

Kirtan is a practice that takes you on a journey from the head to the heart.Dissolving the barriers that are created between the mind and who we truly are, Love.

In a kirtan we chant ancient Sanskrit mantras from the Vedic tradition through song, the vibration of the mantra and song creates healing with a powerful ability to bring about calm and peace to the heart and mind.

MEET Raquel (AKA DJ Amada)

Raquel (AKA DJ Amada) is a conscious dance DJ and founder of “Drops: Conscious Dance” in Bristol. Her eclectic musical journeys draw inspiration from World beats fusing seamlessly with funky, soulful, percussive, hypnotic grooves across a variety of traditional and contemporary electronic music genres.

Since breaking into the scene in 2022, Raquel has been part of festivals such as Noisily and Buddhafield, played at Ministry of Sound in London and for a stream of ED communities around the UK.

Her mission is to invite your authentic rhythm and presence on the dance floor and connect with your body's intuitive expression through movement for healing and release.

MEET our Sound Healer Kamila Pinker

After the dance… COME REST IN SOUND WITH KAMILA(Sound Flow Therapies)

Kamila is our local Sound Therapy practitioner and massage therapist, specialising in nervous system regulation and pain relief. She weaves together sound and touch to create deeply powerful, restorative experiences.Through high-quality, guided sound meditations using gongs, therapeutic singing bowls, and tuning forks, Kamila supports the body to settle, reset, and gently return to balance - leaving you feeling grounded, calm, open, and blissfully at ease.

On the night, you’re invited to experience her blissful soundscapes as a space for integration, release, and a soft landing back home in your body.

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable cloths. Bring a set of dry clothes as you will probably get sweaty during the session. We dance barefoot, in soft indoor shoes or grip socks.

What time we start?

Door open at 6:45pm. We start with stretch and slow music before opening circle. We politely ask not to come earlier as we have to prepare a room. We close door at 7:15pm sharp!

Can I bring children to event?

Unfortunately these sessions are not suitable for children. And children are not able to stay in the venue during the session. We are considering future events where children will be included.Thank you for your understanding.

Ecstatic Dance Bournemouth guidelines:

As you entering a safe space we do request that you follow the guidelines below. All movement is welcomed and there is no ‘right and wrong’, whilst respecting other's boundaries. Trust in the journey and move through everything that arises.

GUIDELINES

1 . Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment

2 . No talking in the dance space. If you wish to talk, you are welcome to chat before/after dance outside the main dance space and during our social after.

3 . Phone-free zone. No photos or videos.A chance for us to take a breather from our phones and be present.

4 . Respect for each other's personal space.

5 . Dance Barefoot. This helps us ground our energy and brings us closer in connection to mother earth. You can wear soft soled trainers/shoes or socks if you feel more comfortable doing so.
