Ecstatic Dance Wednesdays at St James Church Hall in Pokesdown, Bournemouth for free-flowing dance sessions.

Welcome to Ecstatic Dance Waves with Jude-z.

We gather in the Community Hall at St James' Church, Pokesdown Hill, Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, BH7 6DW on Wednesday evening.

Ecstatic Dance is a practice of movement and free flowing dance that integrates emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. We embark on a movement journey allowing moments of gentle flow, natural rhythm, release, elation, stillness and reflection. When we move, we can quiet the mind and innately embody the rhythm of the music, freeing our selves and opening us to new perspectives. There are no steps to follow, just your own feet and your own heartbeat. There will be moments of guided meditation and others where you can deep dive into the music.

🎵 Let the ecclectic mix of music guide you as you express yourself through dance and let go of any inhibitions.

This is a sober event.

• Arrive sober and remain so throughout the event.
• We dance barefoot.
• We refrain from conversations on the dance floor.
• Be respectful of yourself and others.
• Move spontaneously to a ecclectic mix of music.

What to bring:

- Water bottle.

- Comfortable clothes that you can move in - some like floaty garments, other's like wearing yoga style clothing.

- Layers are a good idea for this time of year as it is still quite chilly when the sun goes down.

- Mat or towel.

- Shawl or small blanket.

- Musical instruments (optional).

ABOUT JUDEZ SUNFIRE Judez has a background in drama, dance, voice, and breathwork modalities. Conscious dance has been an inspirational part of her life. Her vision is to create safe spaces of free expression, conscious movement to release, receive, embrace and heal, as well as revel in the joy of the dance. She is a conscious and ecstatic dance facilitator and DJ.

SunFire Dance offer Ecstatic and Conscious Dance events in Dorset. Judez was inspired to start her Movement Meditations, Beach, Forest and Celtic Calendar Conscious Dances, and this has grown to include Ecstatic Dance in Wimborne at Gaunts House and The Neptune Harvester.

There is something magical about coming together in community, whether it be dancing on the beach under the luminous full moon or in the crisp morning air watching the sunrise, gathering around a fire in community and sharing a conscious dance. It is always a special event.

Sun - born in the place of the Sun. Invite a ray of sunshine and light into your life. No matter how dark, cold, frozen or bleak life may seem. Move and ignite your passions.

Fire - it only takes a spark to get the creative fire burning. Fire can also burn away the old, that which no longer serves us. Out of the embers, new shoots and regrowth can form to transmute it into new life, new hope, a new dawn for you. Fire for warmth, for life, for nourishment

Dance - dance to move energy, dance to energise, dance when filled with sorrow, dance when filled with joy, dance to connect with others, dance to connect with self, dance your journey, dance of life.
