Edge Two Sharing: Grotesque
The grind of the city machine. Another day. Another shift. Another train home. Until tonight... until The Gala!
For one glittering evening, all of our city’s inhabitants are invited to a night of glamour, excess and desire. With your golden ticket, join us to peek beneath the beautiful mask of sequins and celebrity to discover something ugly.
But when the sun rises the glitter has faded, the bruises are showing... and everyone goes back to work.
The party ends.
The machine grinds on...
Inspired by the highly physical and socially political work of Stephen Berkoff, this darkly comic piece dives into the grotesque underbelly of city life, where the clashing of classes causes decorum to unravel into chaos, debauchery and violence.

After the show, there will be a Q&A with Edge Two's lead facilitator and performers.
Edge Two is for participants who are becoming more established in their recovery and are ready to deepen their theatre skills. After at least three months of consistent engagement with our weekly drop-in groups, eligible participants are invited to join this intermediate group which requires more commitment.
These sessions offer a chance to explore how drama can be a powerful tool for personal growth and recovery, while also developing an understanding of performance.
Every three months, the group focuses on a specific skill or theme, which is a brilliant opportunity for them to immerse themselves in new acting techniques.
