Edinburgh EuroWalk

Edinburgh EuroWalk

Wojtek the Soldier Bear MemorialEdinburgh, Edinburgh
Wednesday, May 13 from 11 am to 1 pm
Overview

Pass by many monuments and buildings that show the deep bonds and long-held connections Edinburgh has with its fellow European neighbours.

Join us exploring and celebrating Edinburgh's historic and contemporary links with our European neighbours.

Register to take part in this free Edinburgh Central EuroWalk on Wednesday, 13 May, 2026. Your Festival of Europe Scotland guide will take you on a route where you pass by many monuments and buildings that show the deep bonds and long-held connections Edinburgh has with its fellow European neighbours.

Starting at 11am at the Wojtek the Soldier Bear monument in Princes Street Gardens this walk will finish outside the Scottish Parliament.

Covering approximately 4 kilometres the walk takes most people a couple of hours to complete. Some of the route is level, such as at the start along Princes Street. But do wear comfortable shoes as the walk does involve steps, cobbles and hills, so may not be accessible for all.

If you feel you can’t join the walk, we hope you enjoy the photographs and links on the EuroWalks website: EuroWalks – Discover Scotland's Links With Europe
