An intentional, low-pressure space for ESEA/POC creatives to decompress, connect, and collaborate at Edinburgh Fringe.
The Edinburgh Fringe is a relentless, high-pressure environment that often presents significant financial, logistical, and emotional barriers for ESEA and POC performance makers. Inter-Waves serves as an intentional, dedicated space—an antidote to the festival hustle. We offer a low-pressure environment for ESEA creative communities and our global majority allies to decompress, build genuine connections, and plant sustainable seeds for the future.
What to Expect
Our afternoon prioritizes community care and mutual support over transactional networking:
- Insights: Short, informal sharings from our partners about navigating the industry and their work, focusing on sustainable practices and potential offerings.
- Open Exchange: A dedicated, relaxed space for sharing information, resources, and building connections.
Partners
Edinburgh Inter-Waves is led by Kakilang, with join partnership with New Earth Theatre, With Spice, ESEA Creatives Scotland, Hannah Low (with support from the National Theatre of Scotland), Dance Base, and more.
