Edinburgh Literary Easter Egg Salon
Date and time
Being in the Easter Season, we traditionally have an egg-theme at our April Salon, so we’re putting several eggs in our literary basket.
About this event
This month, we are inviting people from any Writing Groups that we know about, or who have contacted us, to come along and share thoughts and ideas. We won’t be having official Guest Speakers, but we will encourage people to mingle as usual.
We might run a ‘speed-dating’ of groups and combine this with a Literary Easter Egg Hunt. Whatever happens, the main purpose of any Salon is to meet and socialise, so this Event will focus on Writing Groups – themselves, an exchange of ideas.
Unfortunately this will not be, a hybrid Salon with those who cannot attend in person joining in on Zoom since virtual Easter Eggs would be a challenge. We hope to offer an additional hybrid event in June, so watch this space.
Once again, the Outhouse are hosting us, and we will be in the upstairs Function Room. There will be a wine reception, and we will start the formal session at 7pm.
We’ll share what information we glean in the Notes of Interest, sent to our mailing list during the following week.
How it works...
6.pm: Wine Reception at the Outhouse
7.pm Literary Easter Hunt and Writing Group Chat
7.45 Live Mingling, and Notes of Interest
Tickets are free – although numbers are limited for in-person attendance.
All Salon Events are free. We invite a small donation (£3) for the glass of wine, or encourage people to buy us a coffee to help fund our work. Of course, if you've not bought it yet, you can still purchase our amazing first anthology, Lost, Looking and Found at our online shop.
We look forward to seeing you there.
