Edinburgh Marathon 2017 - Edinburgh Workshop

THE Edinburgh Marathon Festival is on Saturday May 26 and Sunday May 27 2018. There is a race to suit all ages and abilities. Choose from the full marathon, half marathon, relay marathon, 10K, 5K or 4 junior races. The Edinburgh Marathon sold out 2008-2016 and the half marathon sold out for the first time in 2014. The Edinburgh Marathon Festival

This is a great opportunity for runners to get professional advice on various aspects of their running ahead of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival on May 27/28 2017. 
The workshop will include expert guest speakers from EMF partners Nuffield Health and Run4It who will use their expert knowledge to cover a range of topics in relation to training for EMF. 
What's more, the sessions will finish with an optional guided run where you can stretch your legs and chat to other runners - it will be dark so remember to bring along your head torch!

BRING A FRIEND  If you know someone who's interested in running the Edinburgh Marathon Festival but hasn't yet signed up, why not bring them along, the more the merrier!
The format of the workshops will be as follows*:  Doors open at 6.30pm: Please arrive for a 7pm start  7pm: Introductions  7.05pm - 7.25pm: Finlay McAndrew, Run4it, talk about the benefits of varied pace training
7.25pm - 7.50pm: Jordan Lenham, Run4it, talk about trail running and how it can be beneficial for running a marathon
7.50pm - 8.10pm: Injury prevention talk, Nuffield Health 
A short Q&A will follow.
8.30pm: 20-30 minute group run led by a Run4It rep, where runners can stretch their legs and chat to other runners (don't forget running kit and trainers!)
*Timings and speakers are subject to change. An additional nutrition talk may be included.
