A weekend focussing on the future of education filled with fun, creativity and learning!The Service Design in Education Network (#SDinEd) is a group of diverse individuals from all over the world with one aim and one passion to change education for the better using human-centred design approaches. We are working with the community to get to the core issues which people in Education are facing in their day to day lives, working and learning through a global pandemic. We will be hosting EduJam from the afternoon of Friday 10th, and then all weekend on Saturday 11th until Sunday 12th June 2022.Friday - 3.30pm - 7.30pm Kicking off with an EduJam inspiration extravaganza! We will be partnering with designers and educators from across the UK to provide you will all the inspiration you need to get jammin&#x27;! The secret theme will be revealed and there will be lots of chats, networking, fun and sorting involved. All participants will receive a Jammers pack from EduJam and Workvisible, including lots of little goodies to support your learning and participation through the weekend. Saturday - 9.00 am - 5.00 pm Breakfast snacks from 9.00am Workshops kick off 9.30am Don&#x27;t worry if you cannot join the extravaganza Friday, we will recap the Secret Theme on Saturday morning too!It&#x27;s all about DISCOVERY - learning how to use design to help you problem solve in education, interactive workshops and &quot;field research&quot;, discovering what&#x27;s out there and what is possible. You will be introduced a creative problem solving toolkit we will be using throughout the weekend. Saturday&#x27;s main workshops will be hosted by Adam Lawrence: https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamstjohnlawrence/ Saturday morning with Adam will focus on listening and powerful questions, to get you set up and ready for field research. Saturday afternoon with Adam will focus on collaboration and building ideas together. Refreshments and lunch will be provided and served up in our city centre base &quot;Gather&quot; within the Overgate, Dundee! Sunday - 9.00 am - 4.30 pm Breakfast snacks from 9.00am Workshops kick off 9.30am It&#x27;s all about PLAY - interactive workshops and an introduction to fun and immersive learning experiences with a range of tools to create and test ideas through prototyping. Refreshments and lunch will be provided and served up in our city centre base &quot;Gather&quot; within the Overgate, Dundee! Sunday&#x27;s main workshops will be hosted by Andy de Vale: https://www.linkedin.com/in/andy-de-vale/Sunday morning with Andy will focus on introducing the wonderful world of visualisation in design.Sunday afternoon with Andy will focus on top tips for presenting ideas through visuals with presentation posters to help shape and share prototypes! Who is it for? EVERYONE! Families, teachers, policy makers, designers, pupils, students, grandparents, headteachers, government officials and simply anyone with an interest in education and having fun! How does it work? All Jams are run by volunteers and are charged at a minimum to cover basic requirements. V&amp;A Dundee is our premium sponsor providing their beautiful space for HQ to host from. The nature of the work is very creative underpinned by a design toolkit. Teams will receive mentoring from experienced service designers, mentors and educators, and will experience the design and creative problem solving process first hand, learning in a fun and friendly atmosphere. What do Jammers leave with?Our aim is to introduce design approaches to as many different people involved in education over one weekend as possible. Participants will leave with new skills, a design toolkit, new connections, inspired and ready to make change happen.
