EEG Experiment

Hello! We are a team of researchers at the University of Exeter. We are inviting you (teengaers aged 12-19 and their parents/guardians) to take part in our study!

In our study, we want to find out the differences in the brains between teenagers with and without ADHD. We are simply exploring how different brains process things — there is no right or wrong kind of brain response. We want to find out what happens in the brian of teenagers with/without ADHD when they pay attention to a computer game and see how these brain activities affect their daily life. From the results of this study, we may be able to help more children/teenagers with ADHD do well in their lives.

In our study, parents or guardians are asked to accompany their children to the laboratory.

What can you obtain from our EEG experiment?

1. You will receive a £20 Amazon voucher, some small thank-you gifts, and up to £5

per person in travel expenses after completing the EEG study.

2. You can get an opportunity to visit the EEG lab at the University of Exeter.

3. You can get a video of your own EEG data.

What is EEG (Electroencephalogram)?

Electroencephalogram (EEG) is safe method of recording the electrical activity in the brain (brain waves) and measuring people's brain function. EEG equipment is safe and does not cause any harm to the human body.
