This one-day course explores simple ways to have effective, impactful and confident conversations throughout the working day: with colleagues at all levels and across professions, with patients and their carers, in large group meetings, one-on-ones, supervision, or in line-management situations.

Through a range of practical exercises, participants will learn simple techniques to have confident conversations, to prevent and manage conflicts, preventing issues from escalating and to build a supportive, communicative cultures within their work environments. Taught by expert tutors, participants will leave with personalised feedback to overcome the barriers to their own effective communication, and to model best practice.

The training course is open to Medical / Nursing / AHP / Nursing Assistants / Clerical Staff at all levels and across specialities working at Guy's and St. Thomas' Trust.

This course is free to attend but you must be a member of staff at GSTT.
