- Build awareness of real-world examples and practical tips from an expanding LJMU community to help you develop your knowledge exchange activities.
- Rapidly develop new ideas for - and get initial feedback on - new knowledge exchange activities building on your existing work.
- Boost your LJMU network of active sustainability researchers and community of passionate knowledge exchange colleagues (LiRICS: nature-based solutions, inclusion, lifespan education, greening economy, and accelerating partnerships)

The LiRICS 'Partnerships for Incubating and Accelerating Transitions' Network is excited to invite you to our upcoming event on knowledge exchange activities. In this session, presenters will share their experiences with knowledge exchange nationally and internationally, lessons learned and practical tips. This will be followed by a ‘rapid development’ ideas session in which participants will be supported to develop and pitch their ideas, receiving valuable feedback from knowledge exchange specialists. Build your LJMU community of peers passionate about knowledge exchange.
Eligibility
Active researchers in the broad field of sustainability,
or researchers interested in collaborating with sustainability researchers.

Guest speakers
- Dr Colm Bowe is Head of Liverpool Research Insitute Climate and Sustainability (LiRICS), Reader in Engagement for Environment and Sustainability. He is the (founding) lead of the LJMU Natural Capital Hub and is Development Manager at Nature North (through secondment).
- Professor Allistair McRobert is a Professor of Performance Analysis within the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences. He has years of experience working as a performance analyst with elite young football players, and is an active member of the Football Exchange; an internal organisation that strategically directs all of the football-related teaching, research and consultancy activity within the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences. He is responsible for the match/performance analysis division of the organisation and coordinates all activity that involves professional clubs, governing bodies and key industry partners.
- Dr Katie Hyslop is Principal Lecturer and Programme leader at Liverpool Business School. Through her research in open innovation and citizen science, she has actively engaged in international knowledge exchange (KE) with partners in Austria, Germany and the Netherlands, including working with the Natural History Museum Vienna and the University of Twente (NL) to develop best practices for engaging non-scientists in museum artefact conservation.
- Dr Laura Purdy co-leads the LiRICS Partnering and Accelerating Network which is hosting the event. As a Senior Lecturer in Sports Business, she actively engages in Knowledge Exchange (KE) with a variety of organisations both nationally and internationally, including UK Coaching, the Irish Rugby Football Union, the Basketball Federations of Kosovo, Estonia, and Bulgaria, as well as the Lithuanian Federation of Sport Climbing.
- LJMU's Knowledge Exchange and Commercialisation (KEC) team who identify, secure and broker engagement between internal and external stakeholders to maximise on the return (whether reputational, financial or social).
