We will review appropriate ways to increase engagement among large cohort of students using project and/or problem-based learning approach.

Open to all staff members (incl. partners and HPLs)Duration: 2 hours.This workshop will review appropriate ways to increase engagement among large cohort students using either project or problem based learning approach. We will also discuss how these approaches can be enhanced using different learning technology tools (Padlet, Wakelet, OneDrive, etc). Learning outcomes:At the end of this session, you should be able to:<ol><li>identify advantages of a problem or project-based learning approach and how they can be used to engage students.</li><li>create appropriate, inclusive project/problem based learning appropriate to your discipline or group of students. </li></ol>Hands-on tasks:Brainstorm appropriate, inclusive materials or tasks which align with the chosen approach. Pre-workshop learning Read through hypothetical scenarios and think about how a project or problem-based learning approach can be implemented to support engagement. PSF: A1, A2, A4, K2, K4, V2
