OBJECTIVES

Family and child law is one of the most challenging areas of practice, which is reflected in the high volume of complaints it generates. This Zoom webinar will focus on practical risk management strategies to help family law solicitors navigate these challenges while ensuring effective client representation. Drawing on the latest risk management guidance, Nadine Martin brings her innovative approach and unique experience in the field, including her work in developing and teaching the Law Society of Scotland’s trauma-informed practice training.

The session will cover key areas such as conflict checks, clear engagement terms, effective client communication, handling last-minute settlements, and managing wellbeing to mitigate professional risks. The aim is to provide solicitors with practical tools to enhance their practice and reduce common risks in family law cases.
