Come and join us for an egg hunt with a twist! We'll be hunting for shark, skate and ray eggcases (mermaid's purses) on the strandline.

At least 21 species of skate, ray and shark are found in UK waters and as some species will lay eggs all year round, it's time to go on an egg hunt!

We want to find out what species might have been laying their eggs in the Irish Sea, so come along and collect some eggcases for us to help The Shark Trust with important marine conservation.

Parking: Pay and display parking available at North Promenade Car Park (to the right of St Anne's Pier), FY8 2NQ

Meeting Place: Please meet us on the beach at the bottom of the slipway located on the right hand side of North Promenade car park (if you are facing seawards) near the toilet block (FY8 2NQ). Look for our flag!

What to bring? Suitable clothing and footwear for walking along the beach.
