Please join us to celebrate the launch of the Environmental Impact of Filmmaking project.

Based at the Open University, the project explores histories of prop and costume making made for the Star Wars franchise. We're aiming to use our findings to support sustainable practices across the UK screen industries.

At the event, we’ll introduce findings from our first case study on the galaxy's most lovable droid, Artoo Detoo. Alongside research partner BAFTA albert, we'll also showcase one of our online calculator tools. A drinks reception with a selection of plant-based canapés and alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks will follow.

Accessibility notes

The event will feature BSL interpreters. The event space is wheelchair accessible and the nearest tube station with step-free access is Tottenham Court Road. There is a hearing loop in the reception area of the event (though not in meeting room spaces). There are baby change facilities available.
