Event description
Amplifying our connection to earth, water, fire, air. Deepening interconnection with the web of life. Easing stress, anxiety & depression.

About this event

(Ticket price is for all 5 sessions - 10 hours in total over 5 weeks. Dates below)

This series of five Zoom sessions will focus on how we can amplify our connection to the elements, and how this can bring us into deeper relationship with the interconnectedness of all life and the animate earth.

Throughout our journey we will explore ways to ease stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, and generally support your wellbeing.***

Session 1: Air

The winds of change. Air flows from our lungs out into the world around the globe, and vice versa. What new thoughts/patterns do we want to share via these windstreams?

Session 2: Fire

The spark of life and catalyst of change. How can we turn intention into action? What awareness is necessary to prevent getting burnt, or burned out? Self care.

Session 3: Water

Water is synonymous with flow, life and emotion. How can we connect with water to invite the flow of movement we desire, which serves our higher self and brings our gifts to the world.

Session 4: Earth

What seeds are we planting at this time? What is bubbling up under the soil, awaiting germination?

Session 5: Interweaving the whole

Connecting first to the ever-present web of life. We are all one, we are all borne of the earth, are nourished by it and return to it in time. There is no separation between 'us' and 'nature. Nature connection exists as a constant, yet our perceoption of it can diminish.

Kim is a HCPC registered Art Therapist, nature-based mindfulness guide and climate activist. She has been providing nature-based wellbeing sessions outdoors and online for 3 years. Previously, she worked as a therapist in schools, in forest school early years provision, and as a support worker with autistic individuals.

There will be invitations to do activities between sessions when on your daily walks or in an outdoor space you can access easily.

For the Zoom calls themselves, it doesn't matter if you can't access outdoor space. A window can provide a vista of sky to explore, or you could connect with a favourite potted plant, use your imagination, or let photographs help you access a time in memory when you were in nature.

Each session will last 2 hours and will be hosted on Zoom.

Dates (attending all is necessary, it is a journey, the ticket price covers all five dates):

Session 1 - Tue 16th Nov 2021 - 19:00-21:00pm

Session 2 - Tue 23rd Nov 2021 - 19:00-21:00pm

Session 3 - Tue 30th Nov 2021 - 19:00-21:00pm

Session 4 - Tue 7th Dec 2021 - 19:00-21:00pm

Session 5 - Tue 14th Dec 2021 - 19:00-21:00pm

If these days/times are not convenient for you please get in touch, nothing is set in stone and it's hard to know when's a good time for people in our 'new normal'. If I get enough requests for a new day I will change it or run another series of sessions on a new day/time.

These sessions are designed to be group sessions. If fewer than 2 people book the sessions will either be rescheduled to a later date or cancelled. This will be discussed with those 1-2 who have booked and an agreement will hopefully be reached. A full refund will be made available in this instance.

***Whilst the hope is that this session will in some gentle ways ease stress etc from the perspective of self-help, this is NOT therapy. I do also offer nature-based art therapy. If you are suffering from physical or mental health difficulties this is not a replacement for conventional medical support and medication. Please always see your GP as your first port of call.

Organiser Kim Harrrison

Organiser of Elemental Journey: Nature connection for self care and wellbeing

I am a heart-centred nature-based therapist, facilitator, and artist. I have a wealth of experience with children aged 2-18 in schools, community, and charity settings, including 6 years supporting autistic children. I also volunteered as an art therapist with adult refugees and asylum seekers for a year. My approach is rooted in my love of the animate earth and our interconnectedness with all beings.

My deepest desire is to facilitate connection at a heart level within ourselves, with eachother and the natural world. The aim of which is countering and healing the predominantly separatist, individualistic, isolating patterns prevalent in modern society. I believe this separation is at the root of many current global issues, the biggest of all being the climate emergency. Dangerous misconceptions that we can plunder resources without impact to ourselves and other species, that there is an 'away' where we can throw waste, that we are not fundamentally dependent on a livable earth for our very survival. Thus my drive to heal this rift is strongly linked to my passion for environmental issues.
