Good governance is vital for the success of any charity or community group. By having strong governance, clear leadership and management your organisation will be able to achieve its charitable aims and vision.

This two-hour training session is designed for new and existing trustees and will cover.

• Roles and Responsibilities, defining the different roles and responsibilities including looking at skills, experience and leadership.
• Board Structures, looking at the different types of board structures and choosing the right one for the organisation.
• Risk Management and Legal Requirements, Identifying and managing potential risks and ensuring the charity is compliant with current laws and legislation.
• Charity Finance, delve into the world of charity finance find out the difference between designated, restricted and unrestricted funds, charity banking and learn more about preparing annual accounts.
