About

The fifth ELIXIR All Hands meeting will take place 17 -20 June 2019 in Lisbon. The meeting brings together members of the ELIXIR community from across the ELIXIR Nodes, and collaborators from partner organisations, in order to review ELIXIR’s achievements and activities so far and discuss plans for the future. The All Hands meeting is also the venue for the ELIXIR-EXCELERATE Annual General Assembly Meeting.

Keynotes will include talks from Mónica Bettencourt-Dias, Ana Teresa Freitas, Eleftheria Zeggini and Paul Kersey.

Fill in your attendance to the workshops in a separate sheet by 31 May 2019


EasyChair Submission for posters

1. Go to the EasyChair submission page

2. If you haven't used EasyChair before, create an account

3. Log in with your EasyChair account

4. Fill in the submission form and indicate the poster presenter as the “speaker”, file upload is voluntary.
You will receive a confirmation of a successful submission.



Posters and poster session

You may submit more than one poster but in the case we receive more submissions than there is space for, we may ask you to prioritise among your posters. All poster abstracts need to be submitted via EasyChair.

All authors from ELIXIR Nodes should use the ELIXIR template for posters, which is available through the ELIXIR intranet.

Posters must be A0 size, portrait format.

All participants must print their posters and bring to the meeting.

Poster boards will be ready on Monday 17 June and you will be requested to hang up your poster upon arrival. The posters are available for viewing throughout the meeting.
The poster session will take place on Wednesday 19 June 17:30-19:00, and authors are requested to present their posters during a pre-assigned slot, details to be provided nearer the meeting.

Posters must be collected after the poster session.


Short Talks

Different to the 2018 All Hands meeting, this year, we will not be inviting Flash Talk submissions. Instead we will be using a series of short talks to showcase mature and finishing Implementation Studies. The speakers for this session will be contacted directly by the organising committee.



Conference Dinner

Conference dinner will be on Tuesday 18 June in Cervejaria Trindade Chiado in the old part of the city, followed by free evening in the city.
There will be bus transfer arranged. Attendance to the dinner is free of charge, but everybody must register for the dinner in the registration form.


Accommodation

ELIXIR is holding single rooms in the conference hotel Marriott Lisbon (17 -20 June 2019).

You must pay for your own accommodation for the meeting when you check-out.

The discounted conference price: 150 EUR single room / per night incl. breakfast and tax. The price does not include city tax which is 1 EUR / per day per person.

Cancellation policy: in case you are not able to come and you need to cancel your booking you must inform gemma.hesketh@res2000.co.uk by email by the 30 April.

After 1st May no cancellation is accepted and 100% of the price will be applied to participant with the request of payment directly to the hotel.

Travel

Delegates have to book and pay for their own travel to the meeting.

Photographer

Please note that an official photographer will be taking photographs during this event which may be used on ELIXIR website, social media, in ELIXIR publications and any other ELIXIR print or online materials. If you do not wish to be photographed then please let us know in advance or at the registration desk.
