Eliza Clark in Conversation with Sheena Patel

Eliza Clark launches the paperback of her sensational, addictive novel, Penance, in a conversation at Foyles Charing Cross Road with Sheena Patel.

The chilling story of a murder among teenagers in a small seaside town, Penance is the razor sharp and stunningly written latest novel from a ‘genius’ (Julia Armfield) writer.

Eliza Clark is the author of Boy Parts and Penance. In 2022 Clark was chosen as a finalist for the Women’s Prize Futures Award for writers under thirty-five and in 2023 was names one of Granta’s Best of Young British Novelists. A stage adaptation of Boy Parts premiered at Soho Theatre in October 2023.

Clark will be in conversation with Sheena Patel. A writer and assistant director for film and TV, her debut novel I’m a Fan was Foyles Fiction Book of the Year in 2022.

The event will be followed by a book signing. Doors will open from 6:45pm.
