Workshop to explore the Emerging Minds research challenges and develop possible collaborations and proposals.

The Emerging Minds network would like to invite you to a proposal development workshop hosted by <a href="https://pure.qub.ac.uk/portal/en/persons/cherie-armour(ae9bb8ef-2845-48db-a05a-5ea5479e4569).html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Professor Chérie Armour</a> from Queen's University, to be held at the MAC.This proposal development workshop follows a general introductory Emerging Minds kick off meeting taking place on the afternoon before (Wednesday 5 February, 2020).<a href="https://emergingminds.org.uk/about/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Emerging Minds</a> is a mental health research network funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) with the aim of encouraging research acoss sectors and disciplines. We want to reduce the prevalence of mental health problems amongst children and young people through mental health promotion, prevention and early treatment.The Emerging Minds network has a fund of £500,000 to share, over 4 years, to enable research collaborations. We have prioritised <a href="https://emergingminds.org.uk/research/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">4 research challenges</a> from the questions that young people, families, practitioners and policy makers have told us are most important and pressing. The purpose of this workshop is to support those interested in applying for our first funding call to develop their research project proposal.We can answer questions about the funding call and provide an opportunity for formative feedback from the Emerging Minds team and stakeholders as you develop your proposal. All refreshments and lunch are included.
