EMIS Web Training - Documents,Clinical Templates and Basic Protocols

The Surrey Training Hub is a local partnership supporting the development and transformation of the primary and community care workforce through education and training across the Surrey Heartlands footprint. It is a model developed by Health Education England and rolled out nationally in order to better support the local development of the health workforce.We aim to attract, develop, support and retain our health and social care professionals working across primary and community settings (GP surgeries, community clinics, care homes etc) throughout the Training Hub footprint to ensure that through education and skills development our patients will benefit from high quality care and services.

Bespoke training for clinical and non-clinical staff wanting to enhance their understanding of documents and clinical templates within EMIS

Surrey Training Hub (Surrey CEPN) in collaboration with University of Surrey are offering fully funded EMIS Web Training to health care professionals working across Surrey Heartlands and Surrey Heath.Following on from the success of the training we delivered last year, we are pleased to offer a further series of training sessions, this time focussing on specific modules within EMIS. They are designed to help you and your practice or service save time by developing your understanding of how to use EMIS effectively as a tool to aid in the clinical and non-clinical management of patients, admin and paperwork.Training will take place in a computer suite at Surrey University to enable you to learn first-hand by logging in to your own EMIS system, or a dummy system, depending on your preference.This half day training session is suitable for both clinical and non-clinical staff working in general practice or community services with an existing understanding of EMIS Web. You will learn how to build clinical (data entry) and document templates and look at methods of streamlining workflows and adding standardisation and efficiency to coding.Please note that the training will be taking place in the Kate Granger Building (Room 39) on the University of Surrey Priestly Road Campus. Unfortunately we are unable to provide parking permits so please either park in one of the nearby pay and display car parks or consider using public transport. Further information is included in your booking confirmation email.Terms and Conditions:- Spaces are only for health and care professionals working within the CEPN footprint (North West Surrey, Surrey Heath, Surrey Downs and Guildford &amp; Waverley).- Charges will apply if the person attending does not work within one of the geographical areas mentioned above (and it is not stated otherwise).- Spaces must be booked under the name &amp; contact details of the person attending. Multiple bookings made under the same details may be subject to cancellation.- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours’ prior to the course date.- Non-attendance or failure to cancel may result in a charge of up to £100 (this may be higher for certain courses). Failure to cancel and non-attendance also means that those on the waiting list are unable to be offered this place.- If you are unable to attend on the day due to unexpected events please email surrey.cepn@nhs.net asap
