Emotional First Aid - week two
Emotional First Aid empowers you with simple, effective techniques to help regulate emotions, reduce overwhelm, and strengthen resilience.
Emotional first aid empowers you with practical skills for real-life emotional challenges.
It is the immediate, compassionate support we can offer ourselves and others when strong feelings, stress, or unexpected challenges arise.
You can learn simple, effective techniques to help regulate emotions, reduce overwhelm, and strengthen resilience.
Why emotional first aid matters
Just like physical first aid, emotional first aid can prevent small struggles from becoming crises. With the right skills, you can help create safety, reduce distress, and support healthier emotional environments at home, at work, and in your community.
What you will learn
This course includes interactive activities, real-life scenarios, guided exercises, and take-home tools you can use daily. You will learn:
- How emotions work – understanding the brain–body connection
- Grounding techniques for anxiety and overwhelm
- Calming strategies to soothe intense emotional reactions
- Communication skills for supporting someone in distress
- Boundaries and safety – knowing what you can and can’t do
- Self-care practices to prevent burnout
- Instant tools you can use anytime, anywhere
Outcomes include:
- Feeling more confident in emotionally charged situations
- Learning supportive language that builds trust and connection
- Reducing stress for yourself and those around you
- Becoming a calming presence in your community or workplace
- Building habits that support long-term emotional wellbeing
For insurance purposes, attendees need to be aged 18 or above. We will ask you to confirm you meet that criteria when you book.

Therefore, we suggest a £20 donation per session (£60 total for the whole workshop) or an affordable contribution.
Please email enquiries@3chh.org.uk if money is tight and you’d like a quiet conversation about what feels comfortable for you. We are a totally inclusive charity, so please don’t let finances be a barrier.
All proceeds go to our charity, helping us to support those in need with love and light.
