Emotional / Psychological Abuse and The Impact on Children and Future Generations
Smiths Group Singapore is collaborating with DLA Piper and Cooley LLP to organise an in-person and online education and awareness session on emotional and psychological abuse in families and the impact on children.
Whilst physical violence is well documented and more easily identified, emotional and psychological abuse is more insidious. With the recent changes in the law to include emotional and psychological violence as part of “family violence” in the Women’s Charter, this is an opportunity to build education and awareness in this area.
The seminar and panel discussion will have experts from AWARE, Drew & Napier and Reconnect Psychology amongst others. We invite those who interact closely with children such as parents, grandparents and teachers, amongst others, to attend this event to gain a deeper awareness about this important topic.
