A big shake-up in labour market policy is underway in Wales, with the Welsh Government due to publish its Employability Delivery Plan soon and a new employability offer set to be introduced in from April 2019.  But while helping people into work reduces the risk of poverty, it does not eliminate it.
This seminar will look at how jobs in Wales’ growth sectors can help to reduce poverty. Delegates will learn why employability is only part of the solution to the wider challenge of creating an inclusive labour market, and what are the most effective ways of helping people to get into work as well as to progress at work and benefit from decent terms and conditions.
This is a superb opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with leading experts and practitioners from Wales and the rest of the UK.
