The OECD now estimates the overall cost of counterfeiting at around 5-7% of global trade, equating to over a trillion dollars in lost revenue, impacting heavily on job growth, and generating serious safety concerns for consumers. Improvements in the technical capabilities of counterfeiters have led to a ‘Technological Race’ as suppliers try to stay one step ahead of those seeking to capitalise on counterfeit products.
Technology Scotland, in association with the Scottish Optoelectronics Association, offers its members and delegates the chance to attend a unique one day conference and networking event to discuss the global challenges in product verification, exploring how enabling technologies are helping in the global fight against counterfeiting. This is an excellent chance for technologists and end-users across a range of markets to:
- Hear about new and exciting technological solutions to product authentication
- Define current and future verification challenges
- Highlight unmet needs and future areas of concern
- Collaborate to create new solutions to a global challenge
Sign up now to ensure you don’t miss out on this exclusive opportunity to hear experts and peers discuss how enabling technologies can meet these challenges!
Networking breaks, refreshments and lunch will be provided.
