This is an "intermediate" enamelling class, what does that mean?

This day course is aimed at students who have previously attended my Enamelling on Copper for Beginners Jewellery Course which serves as a thorough introduction to enamelling. This course follows on from that day and builds on skills learned. I recommend doing the beginners one first where possible.

What can I expect to make and take home on this day course?

We will make two small concave pendants (which I will mount onto chains for you) and two small enamelled copper bowls. The choice of colours and how they are decorated is yours to choose once I have shown you a variety of decorative techniques.

What should I wear for this day course?

I would recommend wearing work clothes, old trousers and closed toe shoes as we will be working with powdered enamels, paints and a hot kiln, so health and safety will be very important. Whilst working with the enamel powders you will be supplied with an FFP3 Dust Mask to wear too.
