Encounter’26 is so we can receive a first hand revelation of who Jesus Christ is to us so we can understand his Love and the access we have

What’s so special about this God? What’s so majestic about Him? That men and women alike are willing to forsake the comfortably of how they want to live for Him. How could men in the Bible deny everything they had just to follow God? How could someone forsake the comfortability of a stable and safe career to spread the message and news of someone they had not seen with their eyes.

It is because thy had come to a “Revelation” of who Jesus Christ is.

Revelation is the revealing of a divine truth. In the Person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, there are many revelations of God and His affection toward us that when we grow in knowledge of Him have revealed to us.

The mystery of Christ is and has been hidden from the ages. The agenda of God was so that through the knowledge of Christ, men would be reconciled back unto the Father, back into fellowship and walk in His image as He always predestined.

Yet the seed of sin found in man meant that not only was there very being corrupted, but the mindsets and beliefs held by men were also tainted . Numbers 13:33 depicts a very common reality still set up in the mind of men in our generation. The reality they perceive to be true is the reality that they operate from. When you have a mind, a soul that isn’t governed by Jesus, you can’t operate from that place of understanding. That’s how anxiety, depression, fear, all manifest. The first-hand revelation of who Christ truly was allowed Apostle Peter to receive a blessing from the Lord and walk in His identity.

Encounter’26 and the journey isn’t so we can receive vain glory, isn’t so we can groan in tongues then go home, isn’t so that we can make declarations of victory that sound more like triumphalism than true doctrine,and it isn’t to paint a picture of coming to Jesus being all sunshine and rainbows. Jesus wants to bring each and every single one of us to a place of revelation of who He is because when we come to a first hand revelation, in finding Him, we realise the extent to which He loves us, and the kind of relationship we now have access to. Encounter’26 is so that the person of Jesus Christ will be revealed to us in a new way that fortifies our faith, reveals to us our identity, and helps us even in the season of crushing. The scales will fall off, the shackles and the chains of mental torment and oppression will loosen its grip and the broken hearted shall have their hearts mended through the revelation of the person of Christ for life .
