An evening of Big Band entertainment from Saltburn Big Band and Durham Alumni.

Saltburn Big Band: Featuring David Archbold on piano, Paul Donnelly on guitar, Josh Bentham on Tenor sax, Mark Toomey on Alto and Kev Eland on trumpet with John Daniels on Bass and Alex Cromarty on drums plus other talented players too numerous to mention. Also featuring vocalist Bridget Metcalfe—fresh from London and ready to dazzle! Enjoy a HOT selection of timeless arrangements inspired by legends like Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Sammy Nestico, Gene Jarred, Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and many more.

Durham Alumni Big Band: The Durham Alumni won the 2025 annual big bands competition in Chester Le Street. The Durham Alumni Big Band is an active musical ensemble composed of former Durham University musicians. The band was founded with its first rehearsal in 2007 and performs at various events and jazz festivals, often alongside professional jazz musicians. Their repertoire is varied, ranging from classic swing and traditional big band music to more contemporary arrangements.
