Energy Innovation Challenge Programme launch

The North East Energy Catalyst wants to hear from SMEs who can help provide solutions to global energy challenges.

Does your business have the potential to bring forward commercial solutions, technologies, products or services to global energy challenges?

Join the North East Energy Catalyst for the launch of its Innovation Challenge Programme.

During the event, you'll learn more about the three energy innovation challenges which will be running over the next year and how you can apply to be part of the programme.

The first challenge will be officially launched at this event and will focus on finding scalable solutions for decentralised and decarbonised energy. A panel of industry experts from Northern Powergrid, Northumbrian Water and North of Tyne Combined Authority will set the context for the challenge.

The successful businesses will receive specialised support to help them develop their solution and bring it to market.

In addition to business support, eligible SMEs on the programme will have an opportunity to secure up to £20,000 of investment and an additional £20,000 funding towards the development and commercialisation of their ideas.

The Energy Innovation Challenge Programme is a new initiative designed to build on our region’s skills and expertise. The programme is coordinated by the North East Local Enterprise Partnership (North East LEP), supported by the Innovation SuperNetwork (ISN), on behalf of the North East Energy Catalyst.
