A festival crossed with a conference can only be described as an extravaganza. A chance to reminisce, plan ahead, collaborate and have fun!
After more than a decade as Bristol's home for innovators, founders, researchers and community partners, Engine Shed is preparing to close its doors, but not before one last celebration.
The Engine Shed Extravaganza is part festival, part conference, part love letter to a building that has shaped careers, sparked collaborations and launched businesses since 2013. Join us on Friday 10 July from 2pm for an afternoon that takes over the entire building, with something fabulous happening in every room.
What to expect
Arrive from 2pm for drinks and the chance to explore and contribute to a collaborative memory installation, a growing piece of art capturing what this building has meant to the people who've passed through it.
From 2.30pm, the building opens up with multiple spaces running simultaneously. Expect live entertainment, comedy and improv; open, fishbowl-style conversations about the future of Bristol's innovation ecosystem in another; socialising to connect with old friends and new faces; and a headline panel conversation later in the afternoon featuring prominent stories from building and the city.
This is not a traditional event. It's an extravaganza. A celebratory, reflective and forward-looking session. Whether you were part of Engine Shed from day one or have only recently discovered it, this is your invitation to be part of the farewell.
The full programme will be announced closer to the date.
